Questions about the quote maker

Is the quote maker free?

Yes. Making the quote, printing it and saving it as PDF cost nothing and need no account.

Is what is typed here saved?

No, unless you choose to send it. The page reads the form once to work out the totals and draw the quote, and keeps none of it. Choosing "Send this quote as a link your client approves" keeps the quote in this browser alone for one day; it is stored with us only once the account exists, as its first quote.

How is the quote saved as PDF?

After making the quote, print the page from the browser and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog: only the quote is printed, without the rest of the page.

How are the totals worked out?

Each line is its quantity times its unit price. The discount is taken off the sum of the lines, the VAT is added to what remains, and the result is the quote total.

What does a free account add?

A saved quote sent as a link: the client opens it on the phone and approves it, and the dashboard shows when it was opened and what was paid.

A quotation maker, a quote generator, an estimate maker: whatever it is called, it does one thing - it turns a list of items and prices into a clear quote.
